Other Events.

On July 8, 2013, the Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation (CNG), a subsidiary of UIL Holdings Corporation (NYSE:UIL), filed a formal application with the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority requesting an increase to its gas distribution rates. The CNG application proposes amended rate schedules designed to produce additional annual base delivery rate revenues of approximately $19.7 million, which is 6.3% above the projected revenues produced by the Company's existing rate schedules.
