The Blackstone Group L.P. is affiliated with certain investment funds that hold equity interests in LVB Acquisition Holding, LLC, the beneficial owner of 536,034,330 common shares of LVB Acquisition, Inc., which are reported in separate Form 3 filings. Mr. McVeigh disclaims beneficial ownership of all of the common shares of LVB Acquisition, Inc. that may be beneficially owned by LVB Acquisition Holding, LLC, The Blackstone Group L.P. and any of its affiliated funds.
