Basic net income/(loss) per share is computed by dividing the net income/(loss) by the weighted-average number of shares outstanding for the period. Diluted net income/(loss) per share is computed by dividing the net income/(loss) by the weighted-average number of shares and dilutive share equivalents outstanding for the period, determined using the treasury-share method and the as-if converted method, for convertible securities, if inclusion of these is dilutive.
If the Company reports a net loss, diluted net loss per share is the same as basic net loss per share for those periods because including the dilutive securities would be anti-dilutive.
